December 2014 - ORPHANAGE NO. 1 in WARSAW

In December we visited a branch of Orphanage No. 1 in Warsaw, named Small Group of Self-Independence. In 2005 the youth from Small Group of Self-Independence  along with its counselors settled in a Warsaw housing estate of Bielany. The apartment provides relevant residential and living conditions, in compliance with the standards of pedagogical services, provided for the teenagers aged 14-18, permanently deprived of care from their own families. The area 120 m2, consists of 6 rooms for wards, a counselor room, living room, kitchen and two bathrooms.  Youth’s daily routine include covers self-preparation of meals, cooking, all of which make them more self-reliant.  Therefore, we decided to purchase the kitchen appliances, the children needed, including the toaster, sandwich makers, waffle-maker, multifunctional blender and a new kettle. Our help in 2015 also comprises repairing of one bathroom, painting of the living room, kitchen and a counselor room.
